Can we install and use ChurchTrac on more than one computer?

You are allowed to install the program on multiple computers for use within your own church. Once you purchase an unlock code, you are not permitted to share your unlock code information with any other church, including any individual not directly associated with your church or ministry. Here are some specific examples of what you can and cannot do:

You are permitted to do any of the following:

  • You are allowed to install ChurchTrac on the pastor's laptop for use at home or at church
  • You are allowed to install ChurchTrac on each computer at your church office
  • You are allowed to install ChurchTrac on a member's home computer if they work from home
  • You are allowed to share your original CD-ROM or your downloaded setup file with other churches or individuals
    (you must provide this free of charge and in its original, unaltered state)

You are NOT permitted do the following:

  • You are not allowed to share your unlock code with any other church, ministry, organization, individual, etc.
  • If you church has a mission church, a sister church, a satellite church or a new church plant, sharing your unlock code is not allowed. Each separate church or ministry will require a unique unlock code. Each church that is located at a different physical address will require its own, unique unlock code.
  • If you move to a new church or ministry, you cannot take an unlock code with you to your new location. An unlock code is licensed to be used only by one church or ministry; it is not licensed to an individual. This means that if the individual who purchased the unlock code (or any other individual) leaves one church and goes to another, the unlock code must stay behind at the original church or ministry.
  • You are not allowed to share your unlock code with another pastor, church secretary, or seminary buddy.
  • You are not allowed to share your unlock code within a network of churches. Each church that meets in a single physical location will be required to purchase its own code to enter more than 100 names.

While the ChurchTrac license agreement is very flexible (allowing your church freedom to use and share your own data), a violation of the license agreement by sharing your code is taken very seriously. ChurchTrac is priced to be accessible by all churches, so please support the development and enhancement of ChurchTrac by purchasing a legitimate unlock code. At the present, ChurchTrac unlock codes can only be purchased from the ChurchTrac website. If you purchased or obtained an unlock code from anywhere else, please let us know.
