Is an unlock code purchase price a one-time fee, or does it have to be renewed each year?

  • Every ChurchTrac 8 unlock code purchase or upgrade includes the ability to add and delete names for a term of 12 months.
     
  • After the term of your unlock code has expired, you'll need to renew your unlock code in order to continue adding or deleting names. Renewal is about $40 a year, even less with a multi-year renewal. For more about pricing, see the pricing section below.
     
  • Even if your unlock code has expired, ChurchTrac's other features will remain fully unlocked and available.
     
  • We will never lock you out of the program or prevent you from accessing data or printing reports.


Why does my unlock code have to be renewed?

  • With previous versions of ChurchTrac you would have to purchase an "upgrade" each year in order to continuing getting the latest features and continued technical support. With ChurchTrac 8 we've eliminated upgrade charges for new versions--now you'll always have access to the newest features.
     
  • Your renewal covers the cost of these ongoing updates and improvements, as well as unlimited email-based technical support. Priority (phone-based) support is also available at a discounted rate as long as your unlock code is active.


What does renewal cost?

  • Renewal costs are very reasonable. If you choose to renew your unlock code every 12 months, the annual cost of is only $39.99. This includes ongoing access to updates, new features, and basic technical support (see "What does renewal include?" below).
     
  • When you purchase two or three years of renewals in advance, you can save up to 50% on renewal costs. You can add the second year to your unlock code's term for an additional $30, then add the third year for an additional $20.
     
  • You can also purchase an unlock code that does not require renewal.


What does renewal include?

  • Renewal includes ongoing access to program updates.
     
  • You'll also get all the new features as they become available without having to purchase an annual "upgrade". As new features are released, you'll be able to download and install them for free.
     
  • Basic (email-based) technical support is included with your purchase or renewal. Priority (phone-based support) is also available at a discounted rate as long as your ChurchTrac 8 unlock code is active.
