After you set up your people on the people screen, use the contributions screen to enter contributions as they come in. The default password for to access the contributions screen is 1234. You can also set up envelope numbers using the people screen. These numbers are available as a shortcut when entering contributions on the contributions screen. When you're ready to print a statement for each contributor/family, click the "contribution reports" button (you have to have the contributions screen open). Select the date range you want the report to cover, then choose the first option, IRS Contribution Statements. You can use this report as an end of the year statement for tax purposes, or at other intervals as a generic giving statement. By default, the contributions are entered on an individual basis, and the IRS contribution report will print contributions made by an individual. If you want the family name to appear on the IRS statement instead of the individual's name, open the ChurchTrac settings window from the utilities menu when you start ChurchTrac and change this setting. If your copy of ChurchTrac doesn't have the option to change this setting, you'll need to update or upgrade to the latest version of ChurchTrac
