What type of security does ChurchTrac have?

ChurchTrac has several layers of security. You can set five different optional passwords in ChurchTrac: startup, contributions, budgets and administrator. The administrator password allows the user access to all areas of the program.

Password settings can be managed by clicking on the utilities menu, selecting ChurchTrac settings, then Password Management. By default, a password is required to access the contribution, budget, and accounting screens. You can turn off password access to one or more of these screens. You can also require a password when you start the program to prevent access to any of the other screens, in addition to the passwords for the contributions, budgets and accounting screens.

The default password in ChurchTrac is 1234 and should be changed as soon as possible from the Password Management screen.
