These errors can be caused by a component not being registered properly with Windows, and may be the result of conflicts with one or more versions of Microsoft Office installed on a computer. To correct this problem, first download and install the latest program update and see if that corrects the problem.
Error 3085: Undefined function ... in expression 1. First close all open programs. Go to your Windows Control Panel and choose Add/Remove Programs (Vista and Windows 7 users can access this by clicking Start, Computer, then "Uninstall or change a program" on the toolbar). 2. Find Microsoft Access 2002 Runtime and/or ChurchTrac Database Engine in the list and click on it. An option to Change (or Repair) should appear. Click on Change (or Repair) and complete the repair process. 3. When the repair operation is complete, re-open ChurchTrac and see if you can duplicate the error. If so, proceed to the steps below.
The steps below involve uninstalling and reinstalling both ChurchTrac and Microsoft Access 2002 Runtime (it may also be listed as "ChurchTrac Database Engine"). If the above steps work, then this is not necessary. The following steps will guide you through this process: 1. Backup your ChurchTrac data by clicking on the Utilities menu, then choose the backup option and create a backup of your data. 2. Open the Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs and Uninstall ChurchTrac. 3. Also uninstall Microsoft Access 2002 Runtime and/or ChurchTrac Database Engine (this program will automatically be reinstalled and updated with the latest Access updates in the next step). 4. Download and install the full version of ChurchTrac from here. Do not use an older CD or older ChurchTrac download to reinstall. Microsoft Access 2002 Runtime (or ChurchTrac Database Engine) will also be reinstalled and updated along with ChurchTrac when it is reinstalled. 5. After ChurchTrac is installed again, the error should be corrected. If you continue to experience this error after performing all the steps on this page, please contact technical support.
