I am unable to download or install ChurchTrac

There are several possible causes for problems or errors when downloading or installing ChurchTrac.

ChurchTrac will only work on PCs running Windows 98SE or later. If you have Windows 98 first edition or Windows 95, ChurchTrac will not work. See the system requirements knowledgebase article for more information.

When downloading a large install file, a reliable internet connection is required. If you are using a dial-up or wireless connection to download, any break in your internet connection during the download could result in a corrupt file. In these situations, it is best to use a download manager program to assist you with the download, or to purchase a CD.

If you previously attempted to download ChurchTrac, your web browser (Internet Explorer, for example), may be storing the download in it's "cache" of temporary or recent files. Typically, this will speed up browsing because the webpage or file will be retrieved from Internet Explorer's "memory" instead of going out to the web and downloading it from scratch. This can be a problem if the download file in IE's cache is corrupt or incomplete. To correct this, clear your browser's temporary files, and try the download again.

When downloading the full version of ChurchTrac, if the size of the downloaded file is less than 60 MB, then you've likely encountered a problem where the entire file was not downloaded. Follow the suggestions above to resolve the problem.

If you encounter an error during installation, and it appears the download was not corrupt, please contact the support team with the specifics of the error you've encountered, including the full text of the error message and at what point you encountered it.
