The General Information TabThe General Information tab gives
you quick access to all the contact and membership information at a glance. This
tab is comprised of two sections: the Individual Information section and the
Family (or shared) Information section, as seen here:

Note:
Use the "Assigned to Family" list box to specify which family each individual
belongs to. This is directly linked to the Family Information at the bottom of
the screen. For example, if you change the individual to a different family name
using the “Assigned to Family” selection box, the information in the family
(shared) information section at the bottom of the General Information tab will
automatically be updated to show the new family assignment.
Remember: Anytime you see a text field or list box in ChurchTrac with
blue-colored text or a blue outline, you may
double-click inside that box to open another window or to view more information
about its contents. Blue text in a box often means that you can create your own
custom entries for that selection box.
You can see in the previous image that the General Information tab displays
five of the individual user-defined fields and three of the family user-defined
fields. Click on the User-Defined tab to customize and configure these items.
To quickly send an email to just the individual that is currently displayed,
click the button next to the email field on the General Information tab. If you
want to send an email to more than one individual or a group, first filter the
people screen to display the names you want to include, and then click the
Output Options button.
Birthday Reports
When the General Information tab is selected on the people screen, the birthday
reports button will be visible on the main toolbar. The birthday reports screen
gives you several options:

Tip: You’ll notice that when you click on a different tab on the people screen,
a different report button or printout option will appear on the main toolbar.
