The Notes, Contacts and Events Tab

You can use the Notes, Contacts and Events tab to record notes or important date-related entries for people and families. For example, you can write memos regarding contacts with the family, visits to the church, or notes regarding visits or follow-up efforts. These notes can be assigned to the person selected in the people list or to the individual’s entire family.

Note: You can use the Notes, Events and Contacts tab to record membership events (such as membership date, baptism date, method of joining, etc). However, the user-defined fields may offer a more attractive interface for keeping track of some of this information. It is recommended that you use the Notes, Events, and Contacts tab to make notes on people or families or your communications with them. This tab also works well for churches that have weekly visitation programs. Most other recording needs can be met through the User-Defined fields (see “The User-Defined Tab” covered later in this section of the user guide).

The notes/contacts/events report button on the toolbar allows you to preview and print the items that fit your criteria and fall within a specified date range. For example, with just a few clicks you could have a report that shows everyone who was contacted during the month.
