Why doesn't my unlock code work?

There are several reasons why an unlock code may not work:

1. An unlock code will only work with a certain version of ChurchTrac. For example, you cannot use a ChurchTrac 2010 unlock code with the ChurchTrac 2009 program. You must use a 2010 code with the 2010 version (likewise, a 2009 code will only work with the 2009 version of the program). The email you received with your unlock code should tell you what version it will work with. You can tell what version of ChurchTrac you are using by looking in the top left corner of the ChurchTrac window (it will say "ChurchTrac 2009, ChurchTrac 2010, etc.).

If you have an older version of the software, you may need to download and install the 2010 Upgrade before your 2010 code will work. If you have an older unlock code, you can purchase a ChurchTrac 2010 unlock code from the purchase page (customers with a previous unlock code may qualify for discounted upgrade pricing).

2. Make sure the church name and phone number match exactly with the church name and phone number on the email with your unlock code (these will be the same as the church name and phone number you provided when you purchased your unlock code). The church name and phone number must match exactly, otherwise the unlock code will not work.

3. If even one digit of the unlock code is entered incorrectly, the code will not work. To ensure you've entered it correctly, you can highlight and copy the unlock code directly from your email and then use Ctrl+V (press Control and V simultaneously on your keyboard) to paste the unlock code into the unlock code field on the unlock window.
