How do I create a custom report with two or more columns?

You can easily create a multi-column custom report. First open the people screen and click the custom report button, then follow these instructions:

  1. Select a custom report from the list, or create a new custom report.

  2. Select a field name from the list of available field names, and set the width of the field to 3.5 inches.

  3. For the second field name, select "Blank Space" as the field name and assign it a width of 3.5 inches.

  4. Choose additional fields, each with a width of 3.5 inches, followed by a Blank Space field with a width of 3.5 inches.
  5. Note: You can add more than one field per row, so long as the total width of those non-Blank Space fields do not exceed 3.5 inches. If the width does exceed 3.5 inches, part of the data may not be visible on the report.

  6. Preview your report. On the preview toolbar, click the "page setup" button.

  7. Click the "columns" tab. Change the number of columns to 2, then change the Column Width Size to 3.5.

Note: If you choose to have three columns per page, then you'll need to use a width smaller than 3.5 inches for all the measurements above. The total width of the fields and blank spaces for each row must be slightly less than the width of the page (8 inches letter size), minus the non-printable margin (usually about 1/2 inch on each side), or roughly 7 inches. So for 3 columns per page, each field width should be approx. 2.3 inches, and the blank space should be 4.6 inches. The Column Width Size will also be 2.3 inches.
