I encounter errors or cannot access my data in a shared folder on another computer on our networkFirst, make sure you have carefully followed the network setup instructions if you're using ChurchTrac on a network. ChurchTrac 8 (the 2011 version) isn't designed to work with this method of data sharing. Instead, we recommend that you use the ChurchTrac data sharing feature to share data between multiple computers. More information on this method can be found here. The database engine that ChurchTrac uses relies on the Microsoft Internet Explorer Security Manager to determine whether a remote database is located within a trusted security zone. If the location of your data file is not set as a trusted zone, you may not be able to share or access ChurchTrac over a network. Follow these steps:
