What is the difference between a program update and an upgrade?

A program update is a free download that allows you to update the program files for your version of ChurchTrac. So if you have ChurchTrac 2010 installed, you can download and install the latest ChurchTrac 2010 release for no cost. To see if a program update is available for your version of ChurchTrac, opening ChurchTrac and click on 'Check for Updates' on the menu bar.

If you have an older version of ChurchTrac already installed, an upgrade will install the newest version of ChurchTrac on your computer. For example, if you are using ChurchTrac 2010, you could download and install the upgrade to the newest version on your computer. If you have less than 100 names, the upgrade is free. If you have more than 100 names, the upgrade will function in demo mode until you purchase a new unlock code for the new version. Upgrade pricing is very reasonable, and most users find that that small cost of upgrading is worth the new features, enhancements, and stability that a new version offers. For upgrade pricing, visit the purchase page of the website.
