One of the great things about ChurchTrac is that along with all of the preset fields and field entries, you can also create your own custom fields and entries to fit the unique needs of your church or ministry.  Need to create a new field to track baptism or confirmation dates? You can do that.  Need to add a new selection option for Membership Status? You can do that.

ChurchTrac desktop users:

  • To learn how to create a new User-Defined Field, click on this link User-Defined Fields.
  • To add or edit selection options on an existing field on the People Screen, simply double-click on any blue field and a window will open allowing you to add, edit or delete the selection box options.

ChurchTrac Online users:

Back to School is always a good time for churches. Summer vacations are over. Kids (and parents) are back in a routine. New classes and activities start back at church. And all that means old and new faces alike begin to show back up at church with renewed excitement.

As your numbers begin to swell, ChurchTrac makes it real easy to step up to the next level of names by clicking on the “Purchase/Unlock” option on the Welcome Screen. Or you can go directly to the Purchase page by clicking this link. It’s quick and affordable and will ensure you and your church management software are ready to handle all those new faces.

For most young families who walk into your church, it is the nursery and preschool areas that will determine if they ever return. “Our nursery is just fine,” you say.

You might not have small children anymore, but think back to the days when you did.  Remember how perfect you wanted everything to be in your own baby’s nursery – neat and clean.  Now add on top of that the horrible stories that you hear about children being kidnapped or molested even in the church.  Now do you think your nursery is just fine?

Parents today are looking for too main things.  Does the nursery/preschool area look clean and neat — free from junk and broken toys?  And is it safe — the people and the building? I challenge you to read this article and take a fresh look at your preschool area.

We are excited about the upcoming release of ChurchTrac Online, our new web based church software program. As promised, we are continuing to release more and more information about the new online edition.

Pricing Structure

ChurchTrac Online is currently in the BETA phase of development. This means that a few items are still under construction, and more features will be added soon. ChurchTrac Online will be FREE to use during the BETA phase, so you won’t have to pay anything until after we officially launch the finished product later this year.

Pricing will be based on the number of individual names you need to enter. This chart should give you an estimate of what you can expect ChurchTrac Online to cost, based on the number of individuals you enter. These prices will include technical support, updates and unlimited user accounts:

Monthly Option Yearly Option
Up to 100 names $7 $70
Up to 250 names $14 $140
Up to 500 names $21 $210
Up to 1000 names $28 $280
Each additional 1000 names Add $7 Add $70

If you have shopped other online church management options, you’ll notice that our prices are substantially lower. We want ChurchTrac Online to be accessible by churches and ministries of all sizes. That’s why we work hard to make sure our prices are fair and reasonable. As an added bonus, when you pre-pay for an entire year, it’s like getting 2 months free!

Unlike ChurchTrac for Windows, there’s no need to purchase a data sharing subscription. Since ChurchTrac Online is cloud-based, you can access your data from anywhere without the need to synchronize. We’ll also offer messaging options soon that will allow you to send voice and text messages.

Visit churchtrac.com for more information and feature information.

Many of you have been contacting us via Facebook or email with questions about ChurchTrac or problems you may be experiencing.  And we want to respond and help you get answers to your questions as quickly as possible.  So several months ago we created a Support Resources option on the ChurchTrac website as well as in the church software program itself. (To access Support Resources within the program — click on the Welcome Tab, then Knowledgebase and User Guide, and finally select Support Resources from the black toolbar.)

By creating a Support Ticket on this screen, your question or problem will go directly to our technical support team. Our goal is to respond to all tickets by the end of the business day.  There is also also an option to View Existing Support Tickets that you have already submitted. This allows you follow up on open/unresolved support ticket.

Vacation Bible School is one of the most exciting times of the year at our church.  Not just because of the decorations and the t-shirts and the activities, but because of the children who will be coming to VBS, hearing the Gospel presented and learning what it means to be loved by God.  Statistics say that VBS is the top event in reaching children for Christ. WOW!

I have taught in VBS as long as I can remember.  And every year I share the plan of salvation and give the children an opportunity to respond.  But what happens next?  If they are regular church members, I can tell their parents.  If not, what then?  It is very important to have a procedure in place to follow up with children who make a decision for Christ as well as the other kids who attended your VBS.

Let ChurchTrac help you with your follow up needs.  Add the new or unchurched kids to ChurchTrac with a VBS attender status.  Then send these kids a letter thanking them for attending your VBS, include information about your church and any upcoming children’s events.  Call or visit the parents of the kids who made decisions for Christ, this may open up an opportunity to share the Gospel with their parents as well.  The possibilities are endless, but don’t let these VBS kids slip away.
