Now as you are using the Output Options feature on the People Screen you can click the “Manually Select or Unselect Output Option Names.” The names you select will be included in the report, mailing label list, email or text message, envelopes and letters you print, data you export, or on the Automated Messaging Service screen. This makes the process of selecting the names much simpler than having to run multiple Filter/Searches to hone down your list of names to just the ones you want to output.
However, you can still run a Quick Search or a Filter/Search to identify groups of people that meet the criteria you are looking for. Once these names appear on the People screen, you can use this list for the Output Options as well.
As the new school year starts, it seems we all have the same challenge of finding new teachers and helpers for Sunday School classes, discipleship classes, children’s choir, AWANA, etc. We either ask the same people to do ONE more thing, or we rack our brains to think of someone who might be interested in trying something new. Well, ChurchTrac’s SHAPE Ministry Profile feature can help.
If you haven’t already had your congregation fill out a SHAPE Ministry Profile survey, then this is a great time to do that. You can printone by going to the People Screen and clicking on the SHAPE Ministry Profile Tab. Then click on the SHAPE Ministry Profile Reports button that appears on the top tool bar. Here you will find a blank survey that you can print out and pass out or mail to your members for them to complete. You may also want to include your own spiritual gifts inventory for them to take to complete the process.
Once this information is input into ChurchTrac, you can conduct a Filter/Search to identify people with the gift of teaching or helping and then add people with a Heart for Ministry in a certain area as well. ChurchTrac can do the “brainstorming” for you and give you a list of the prospective teachers or helpers you need to fill your leadership openings.

A new program update is available for ChurchTrac. This is primarily a maintenance release to fix some issues reported by users. Some errors were caused by having the incorrect file versions installed, or when one or more required files are missing. ChurchTrac should now be able to detect problems related to this and prompt you when starting the program. This update also includes other minor updates and fixes.
