Vacation Bible School is one of the most exciting times of the year at our church.  Not just because of the decorations and the t-shirts and the activities, but because of the children who will be coming to VBS, hearing the Gospel presented and learning what it means to be loved by God.  Statistics say that VBS is the top event in reaching children for Christ. WOW!

I have taught in VBS as long as I can remember.  And every year I share the plan of salvation and give the children an opportunity to respond.  But what happens next?  If they are regular church members, I can tell their parents.  If not, what then?  It is very important to have a procedure in place to follow up with children who make a decision for Christ as well as the other kids who attended your VBS.

Let ChurchTrac help you with your follow up needs.  Add the new or unchurched kids to ChurchTrac with a VBS attender status.  Then send these kids a letter thanking them for attending your VBS, include information about your church and any upcoming children’s events.  Call or visit the parents of the kids who made decisions for Christ, this may open up an opportunity to share the Gospel with their parents as well.  The possibilities are endless, but don’t let these VBS kids slip away.
