You can send voice messages to a single person, a group of people, or your entire church. This article is an overview of how to do that using ChurchTrac.
Voice messaging enables you to record a voice message up to 90 seconds in length that can be sent to multiple recipients at once. When sent, your recipients will receive a phone call with your message replayed to them upon answering. This method of sending messages is very similar to a "phone tree".
The Voice Messaging tab is found by navigating to People Messaging Voice Messaging.
You are given to option to send a message to individuals from a Smart List or a Tag. The system will send your voice messages to the corresponding number in their "Family Number" field.
With our Twilio integration, churches and ministries have the opportunity to send voice messages to all their members for FREE.
To record a voice message, you'll designate Your Caller ID (That will be displayed to your people) and your recording number. Your recording number is the number that the system will call to record your voice message.
Voice messaging costs $.06 per message recipient. For example, If you send one message to 10 recipients, you will be charged $.60. If you are using our Twilio integration, you will be billed through Twilio at a reduced rate. Learn More ›
Not at this time. Voice messaging is only available in the US and Canada.
If your recipients do not answer, the system will attempt to play your pre-recorded message to their voicemail for them to listen to at a later time.
