How to Share Church Connect

There are three main ways to share your church's app. Below is an overview of the ways to share, as well as tips and a customizable Press Kit to get more people to download it.

Which Method Should I Use?

The method you choose depends on how people are downloading the app. Use the guide below to determine the best option for your situation.

  • Use the QR Code or URL if you're sharing the app with a large group (recommended).
  • Use the Install Code only if someone downloads the Church Connect app directly from the app store.
  • Use the Share option in the app if a member wants to invite someone else.

1. Use the QR Code or URL (Recommended)

You can share your church’s unique URL or QR code with members to make installing the Church Connect app easy. When they use the link or scan the QR code, it takes them straight to the app store and installs a version already linked to your church (no setup code needed!).

Where Do I Find the QR Code and URL?

In the Church Connect screen, select the "Connect Setup" tab, then select the "Share the Connect App" option in the menu on the left. You can copy the URL or download the QR code.

2. Use the Install Code

If a member installs the app manually by searching for “Church Connect” in the app store, they’ll need to enter your church’s install code when prompted.

Where Do I Find the Install Code?

Go to Church Connect -> Connect Setup -> Share the Connect App. Your church's 6-character Install Code is displayed there along with the QR code and sharing URL.

If someone installs the Church Connect app directly from the app store, they will be asked to enter your church's Install Code. This code links the app to your church.

However, if members use your QR code or share link, the app will automatically connect and no code is required.

3. Use the Share Option in the App

Your members also have access to the QR code and URL and can easily share that with anyone else. Once a member has downloaded Church Connect, they can tap the account icon in the top-right corner of the screen. They will find a "Share Church" button below the prompt to log into their profile.

The QR code will display on the following screen. Another member can scan the QR code from that screen. They can also tap the "Share" button below the QR code and send the URL in a message.

Pro Tips

Train others on how to download and setup the app

Before you launch the app to your people, train a few leaders or volunteers on the steps to download the app, create an account, set up online giving, etc. Have those people ready to assist others on the day you launch the app.

The QR code and URL are best

The QR code and URL are the easiest way to direct people to your app. That directs people to the app store and will load your church's information into the app once it is downloaded.
