What is Church Connect?

Church Connect is a customizable church website and church app for connecting with your members, donors and guests. This card-based feature gives your people the ability to give online, submit forms, register for events, etc... Learn more ›

What if our Church already has a website?

Church Connect might not completely replace your church website...but it can. Use it as your website, or use it to supplement your existing website by being a portal for your members and donors to give, view their giving history, and submit forms (like prayer requests or spiritual decisions).

How would our ministry use Church Connect?

If your church doesn’t have a website, Church Connect serves as a complete website builder with customizable body sections and interactive cards. If your church already has a website, Church Connect functions as an app for your members, providing a central hub where they can submit forms, register for events, check in for attendance, and more. Can anyone access my Church Connect Page?

Once you enable Church Connect, anyone with access to your unique URL or QR code will be able to access your Church Connect Page and create a Church Connect Profile. However, only people that you approve will be added to your database or allowed to access secure resources, like member directories.

Is Online Giving included with Church Connect?

Our online giving, ACH giving and text giving platform is integrated into Church Connect. We don't charge anything extra if you decide to use these features; it is included with your ChurchTrac subscription. A lot of companies will charge you an additional monthly fee, or a fee based on the number of donors you have each month, PLUS credit card processing fees. With us, you only pay the processing fees that Stripe charges for each transaction. Learn more ›

What's the benefit of using Connect as an app?

The Church Connect app gives your members a centralized place on their phones to engage with your ministry. Easily downloadable from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, it provides quick access to forms, giving, media, event registration, and other member-specific content, all in one place. Does Church Connect replace ChurchTrac?

Church Connect is included with ChurchTrac... ChurchTrac is the "administrative" side of managing your church, which Church Connect is the member-facing side.

Is there a limit or suggestion on the number of cards I should use on my page?

While there's no limit, keep in mind that you don't want to clutter your page with too much content. If you have more than about a dozen cards, you might want to revisit what content you're putting up. You might choose to only have cards that apply to a large portion of your congregation, and skip creating cards for things that only apply to a few people. Learn more ›

Can I link to my Youtube page? Facebook?

Yes. The Link card will enable you to create a link to any external (non-ChurchTrac) website. Learn more ›

How will I know if someone submits a Form?

When you set up your Form card, you can specify a ChurchTrac user who will get an email each time your form is submitted. Authorized ChurchTrac users can also view form responses any time on the Church Connect page on ChurchTrac's Settings screen. Learn more ›

Can someone see another person's giving history?

No. Each member or donor will log in using their email address, and they will only be able to see their own family's giving history.

We already have a church website... why should I use Church Connect?

Church Connect isn't just a church website. It functions as a dedicated app for your members, giving them quick access to things like forms, giving, media, events, and more.

We don't have a church website... can I still use Church Connect?

Absolutely. Church Connect can even be your church website, if you wish. In fact, it is easier to use, setup and maintain than any other website...and since it is included with your ChurchTrac subscription, it doesn't cost anything extra.

What if I already own a Website Domain?

If you're using Church Connect as your primary church website, you can opt to use your own domain instead of the existing subdomain. Learn more about Domains ›

Can anyone register and get access to my page?

Your page is public, and anyone can register as a "member" or donor. However, you'll need to approve the registration if the email address the person used to register doesn't match an email address on your ChurchTrac People screen. All new registrants have limited access until they are approved. Additionally, if you use the Online Directory, you can control what data each member sees when they log in to Church Connect.

Where can I find images to use for my Connect Page cards?

Many free websites offer stock images and graphics. ChurchTrac integrates with Igniter Media, giving you access to a large library of stock images, and you can also use our ready-made Canva templates for easy customization.

Where can I find a free photo editing program?

There are many "free" photo editing tools online that enable you to adjust picture sizes, crop, and create layers. We recommend using canva.com to create your own images, or using one of our ready-made templates mentioned above.
