Church Connect is a customizable church website, member portal, and church app for connecting with your members, donors and guests. This card-based feature gives your people the ability to give online, submit forms, register for events and more!
Church Connect might not completely replace your church website...but it can. Use it as your website, or use it to supplement your existing website by being a portal for your members and donors to give, view their giving history, and submit forms (like prayer requests or spiritual decisions).
Church Connect is designed to be the hub of communication between you and your people. By interacting with your ChurchTrac database, Church Connect gives your people the ability to connect by submitting forms, registering for events, or recording their attendance.
Once you enable Church Connect, anyone with access to your unique URL or QR code will be able to access your Church Connect Page and create a Church Connect Profile. However, only people that you approve will be added to your database or allowed to access secure resources, like member directories.
Church Connect is included with all paid Standard and Plus plans.
Our online giving, ACH giving and text giving platform is integrated into Church Connect. We don't charge anything extra if you decide to use these features--it is included with your ChurchTrac subscription. A lot of companies will charge you an additional monthly fee, or a fee based on the number of donors you have each month, PLUS credit card processing fees. When you interact with Connect in a browser, it feels like a website. You'll see the address and navigation bars on your screen, just as you would on any web page. There's nothing wrong with that....but when you install Connect as an app on your phone, it gives you a native, non-browser (more app-like) experience. The address and navigation bars are removed, making more room for your content. Your people can more easily return to your page since your app (and custom icon) now appear on their phone's home screen! See our article: How to install the Church Connect App
Log in to your ChurchTrac account and navigate to Settings > Church Connect > Connect Page Options. We've added a new section here that allows you to upload a custom icon design. This icon will be used when someone installs your app on their phone. If you don't upload a custom icon, that's okay....we have a cool-looking icon that will be used instead by default.
Church Connect is included with ChurchTrac...ChurchTrac is the "administrative" side of managing your church, which Church Connect is the member-facing side.
While there's no limit, keep in mind that you don't want to clutter your page with too much content. If you have more than about a dozen cards, you might want to revisit what content you're putting up. You might choose to only have cards that apply to a large portion of your congregation, and skip creating cards for things that only apply to a few people.
Yes. The Link card will enable you to create a link to any external (non-ChurchTrac) website.
When you set up your Form card, you can specify a ChurchTrac user who will get an email each time your form is submitted. Authorized ChurchTrac users can also view form responses any time on the Church Connect page on ChurchTrac's Settings screen.
No. Each member or donor will log in using their email address, and they will only be able to see their own family's giving history.
Church Connect can supplement your existing church website. You can create a link on your website to your Church Connect page, which can serve as a member portal, online giving platform, and even upcoming events.
Absolutely. Church Connect can even be your church website, if you wish. In fact, it is easier to use, setup and maintain than any other website...and since it is included with your ChurchTrac subscription, it doesn't cost anything extra.
Your page is public, and anyone can register as a "member" or donor. However, you'll need to approve the registration if the email address the person used to register doesn't match an email address on your ChurchTrac People screen. All new registrants have limited access until they are approved. Additionally, if you use the Online Directory, you can control what data each member sees when they log in to Church Connect.
