Richard Starling serves on the Church Engagement team, specializing in customer support, blog content, and website editing for churches. He also serves as pastor of Jones Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida—a role that keeps him closely attuned to the day-to-day realities of ministry leadership, administration, and congregational care.
Richard approaches church software with a pastor's heart and a practitioner's eye. He believes the best church tools are the ones that get out of the way—quietly handling the administrative load so leaders can give their full attention to preaching, discipleship, and shepherding the people in their care.
At ChurchTrac, Richard loves being a resource for churches navigating both the practical and the pastoral—helping ministry leaders feel confident, capable, and supported as they use technology to serve their congregations well.

I get to serve my local church as a pastor and help churches all over the country build the systems they need to thrive—all in the same week. That's a rare and meaningful thing. At ChurchTrac, I love being a small part of what God is doing in congregations I'll never visit, by helping the people who lead them feel a little less overwhelmed and a lot more equipped.
When I'm not supporting churches or writing sermons, you'll probably find me working through a Puritan classic or playing with my three kids—which, depending on the day, are equally demanding and equally rewarding.
