ChurchTrac does not charge a separate fee for accepting donations online. Online giving requires a paid ChurchTrac subscription and is subject to Stripe’s processing fees.
Yes. ChurchTrac processes all online donations through Stripe, one of the most widely used payment processors in the world. Creating your Stripe account happens inside ChurchTrac during setup, and churches can apply for Stripe’s non-profit pricing. Because Stripe handles the card data directly, your church never stores or touches donor payment information.
No. Donors can give from your giving link, QR code, church website, or the Church Connect app without signing up for anything. A donor login is available for anyone who wants to manage a recurring gift or pull their own giving statement, but it’s never required to make a donation.
Yes. Donors can choose to add the transaction fee to their gift so the full amount reaches your ministry. Most churches see a meaningful share of donors opt in when the option is presented. ACH giving also carries lower fees than card giving, so encouraging bank donations reduces costs further.
