ChurchTrac Messaging Update
You might have heard, but we just added some amazing messaging updates to ChurchTrac that will bring your church communication to the next level! More specifically, SMS and Email. Here's what they are:
Messaging with Twilio
We've integrated with Twilio, the world's premier SMS messaging service for small and large businesses. With this integration, you can purchase a Toll-Free number directly from Twilio and connect it to your ChurchTrac account. It has some BIG benefits. Here are the top 3...
1. Customized Auto-Replies
Your people can text something like "Serve", and the system can send them an automatic reply with a link to a volunteer form or whatever you want them to receive. You can create unlimited keywords, making the possibilites for this tool limitless.
2. Two-Way Txt
When people reply to your messages, you can respond back. No more generic "This number is not monitored" texts. Now you can converse with your people without using your personal cell phone.
3. Cost (Our favorite feature)
The cost for having a Twilio Toll-Free number is roughly $2/month and then $.0075 per text message sent or received. For a church sending and receiving 500 texts a month... You’re looking at less than $5/month to text with Twilio. Sending and receiving 2k messages a month? You’re looking at about $17/month. ChurchTrac Mail
ChurchTrac Mail is a zero-configuration email tool that’s ready to go out of the box. Finally, an easy way to email your whole church that doesn't require configuring SMTPs, ports, domains, and all that other stuff! You can email a single person, a Smart List of people, a group of people with a specific Tag, or your entire church. You can also have replies be directed to a specific ChurchTrac user of your choosing. Mass email for churches has never been easier.
How do I enable these updates?
If you're on the current ChurchTrac Standard or Plus subscription, you already have access to these updates. If you're on one of our older plans, you will need to upgrade your account to take advantage of these new updates. Users on the older plans are notified automatically on the Home Screen upon logging into their ChurchTrac account.
Do I have to Update?
This update is opt-in and completely optional. That being said, being on an older plan means you're missing out on all the new features that we've been releasing and will continue to release. Here's what one church had to say about this new update...
