I recently wrote about the best Bible apps anyone can download. But for iPhone users, there's one app that outshines them all: Logos.

- Commentaries - Logos offers an extensive collection of commentaries from renowned scholars and theologians. You'll have access to a wide range of perspectives, historical insights, and theological interpretations. I've used Logos for this reason more than any other.

Other apps lock you into how they've structured their content. I didn't realize how much this hindered my use of other Bible apps until I made the Logos app tailored to the way I like to organize study material.

Logos has helped me tremendously with something I'm not good at: Connecting passages of Scripture together.
Every study Bible I use has cross-references that help me quickly find other passages that relate to what I'm reading. Logos does that for me within Bible verses. I just tap on a verse when I'm using the iPhone or iPad and away I go! This helps me see the bigger picture God paints with Scripture as I study the Bible.
